While doing some filing this afternoon, I ran across an article that I have found rather insightful in understanding the shifts that we all observe in how people tend to relate towards religion and faith on the West Coast.
I am challenged by the observation that, “…many people are seeing spirituality less as a way to foster the virtue of forgiveness, a traditionally Western ideal, “and more as a source of healing, energy and health.” (p.3).
While not a prescription for us, I believe that this article serves as a snapshot of those we are called to reach out with the Good News.
May God give us compassion and love as we reach out to our lost neighbours in the spirit of 1 Cor. 6:9-11.
Any thoughts about the article?
