A church in a smaller, rural community is seeking a pastor who is able and willing to be bi-vocational.
While being bi-vocational is a necessity in terms of the current ability of the church to support a pastor, it also provides an advantage in terms of meeting and relating to the people of the community.
Necessary Strengths and Gifts:
- Commitment to the EFCC Statement of Faith and Ethos.
- Authentic and biblical preaching.
- Team player.
- Strong relational skills.
- Self-starting pioneer – one who believes in God’s call and the power of the Gospel.
- Ability to work as a “tentmaker,” in carpentry or other trade, or to be self-employed.
In this community, the church is the primary Christian witness, and we pray that God will raise up a pastor to lead and inspire the church to realize their calling and potential in Christ.
